Trip plan:
We will have a conversation over the phone the evening before to finalise meeting point for the day. On departure day we head north towards the small town of Borgarnes, driving for about 1 hour. From the trailhead, we have about 4km to hike towards the base of the majestic climbing where we gear up. From there we have about 400m of exciting alpine climbing on mixed terrain switching between snow, ice and rock while we slowly but surely make our way upwards before we reach the summit, Skessuhorn (e.Troll Horn) 1000m /3000ft. From the summit, we hike a trail off the mountain down to the flats that lead us back to our vehicle for the drive back to town.
